Ladies German OpenNow off to Germany for the UniCredit Ladies German Open. Everyone has been raving about this tournament for ages, and seems to be everyone’s favourite for the season. As soon as we got there it had a great feel to it, marquees, tents and people every where. The Germans sure don’t so things in halves! Audi was one of the major sponsors, and there was a R8 up for grabs for a Hole-in-one. I think everyone wanted to win this more than the tournament.

My practice went quite well and again was feeling more and more comfortable playing professionally. To be honest I didn’t think I would notice such a difference (obviously theStacey Keating Practice in Germany competition was going to be at an absolute another level than I had experienced in amateurs) but I never thought I would feel so different emotionally. I had handled the first 2 month in Australia no problems, but I guess heading overseas had seemed so different. Anyway, im trying to find my feet and finding it better each week.

My first round I got it going quite well, my putting was feeling great and I was 4 under through the turn and feeling great. I dropped a couple of shots, to a single birdie on the back and finished my round at 1 under. Again a leaning curve but I actually felt great about the chance of shooting a low number, just a couple of poor decision cost me on the back, but still feeling great heading into day 2.

Again Day 2, my ball striking was going well, dropped a few putts, made some good and bad decisions of course and finished with 1 under again and made the cut by 2 shots. This is defiantly going to help me find my feet out here and gain some confidence.

Ladies German Open Course ViewDay 3 to be honest went much the same, and guess what, 1 under 71!! 3 rounds of 71 to be 39th! Final day I didn’t have a lot to loose out there, and wanted a low one. My game was feeling good, but couldn’t get the flat stick going, and finished of with a +2, 74 to drop to 55th place. I was disappointed to not climb the leader board at all, but happy to be playing weekend golf and get some confidence for Slovakia.

I am now on my way there, on a bus which is meant to take around 9 hrs!! Mmmm what to do now…

Thanks for stoping by, and ill keep you posted next week!

Cheers

Stacey
