Deutsche Bank Ladies Swiss Open LogoWell I was really looking forward to this week! Its one of the biggest event for the season,  at one of the prettiest venues, and my parents were going to be over for the week so I was really looking forward to it!! The Deutsche Bank Ladies Swiss Open…

We arrived here on Monday to our little apartment, (6 people in a 2 bedroom place!!) The weather was so so nice for the first few days (practice days) and then it took a turn for the worse!

We started on Thursday. I had a 8:30 tee time which is always nice to get the tournament started early on the first day. I played quite well overall, played very steady and a snuck a couple of birdies in to be -2, Ladies Swiss Openyet dropped shots on the last 2 holes to finish the day even par. Of course disappointed not to capitalise on my good play, yet happy to be in at level. Nothing lost, nothing gained I guess.

Next day was a tough one, weather wise. Again I played very steady, got it to -2 and then the weather took a turn. A storm came in so quickly and we had to get off the course.  We never got back out to finish the day’s play, and had to resume at 7:30 on Saturday morning. Well this never happened either, play was called off for the day at 12 noon, and play was to resume at 7:30 on Sunday. We warmed up a total of 4 times for round 2. We finally got out there and finished round 2. I finished with a -3, 69 to make the cut by 2. Very happy with my play going into the last round. (Was now reduced to 54 holes.) So out I went straight away to complete round 3.

Things were feeling great, and after 14 holes I had it at 4 under for the round and a total of 7 under for the tournament. Still feeling like I could get a couple more. Well to say it nicely things didn’t go the way I wanted, had a bad hole and then missed a couple of good birdie chances, but finished the day at even par, and -3 for the week!

Overall I was happy with my week but of course, and as per usual, I felt I left a lot of chances out there. I really feel like I will learn a lot from this week, getting it going in my final round, and feeling like I was climbing the leader board, but of course not finishing things off. I hope the next time I’m in a situation like this I will go on with it.

Now I have the week off which I will spend in England; get to Wimbledon where I crave the chance to watch some great tennis, and get some practice in and ready for the Finnair Masters.

Thanks for following, and will keep you posted!

Cheers

Stacey 🙂

I don’t understand it much but i have worked out red numbers are good, orange are better and purple sucks ! So keep those red and orange one’s coming.
