Well it sure has been a busy few weeks!

So first of all was Prague- wow what a beautiful city! We were fortunate enough to be staying in an apartment quite close to the city, so got to go in the a couple of times and do the touristy thing!

The golf course was in great shape. All the days leading up to the event the weather was horrible, and we thought we were going to be in for a really tough week. But as soon as the event started the weather was amazing, and quite conducive to some low scores.

Again I played steady in the first 2 rounds without doing anything exciting.. making the cut by a couple of shots, and then started to get things going a little on the final round. I ended up shooting -3 for the last day to move up the leader board quite a bit to tie mid 20’s.

Also a couple of added bonus’ to the week was that the US Open tennis was delayed due to rain and we were able to sit up Sunday night to watch Aussie Sam Stosur win her first major! Im a massive fan of hers, so very excited!

And of course who could forget the Geelong CATS in the AFL. After finishing 2nd on the ladder, playing the first final against HAWKS, a win saw them through to the preliminary finals in 2 weeks time!! A great week all round for me! Now looking forward to my next event in Spain.

The only times I have been to Spain before this has been for tour school, and those who have been to tour school its sure not the most enjoyable week of your life, so I was hoping to be a little more relax this visit!

I was fortunate enough to play the Pro-Am this week with some guest of Henderson, one of my major sponsors, so it was great to get to know them and another look at the golf course.

It was going to be a good week to work on your legs, quite some hills out there!

I actually got off to a poor start with a couple of bogeys early but then got things back, with the putter feeling nice, and signed for a -3, 69. Great start to the week. Day 2 saw me do much of the same really.. Struggled early, then hit some close ones on the back, and another -3, 69 to be T4th going into the weekend.

I was feeling good in the position I was in and hoping to build on my great start.  To be honest it was much of the same, not doing anything excited, just holding things together, but a disappointing finish to my round resulted in me signing for a +3 75. This put me back to T10th, yet I was only 4 shots off the lead, and was feeling good about my chances of moving up the leader board.

I didn’t hit the ball as well on the final day which resulted in not as many birdie opportunities, and a couple of bogeys on the back 9 saw me +2 for the day, and -1 for the tournament and a T13th place. I guess I’m not to disappointed with my result, yet I would have loved to finish higher up, but at the same time I know I will learn a lot from this week, and take into France for our next event.

This week the main tour has the week off, as its Solhiem Cup week, so I am going to play the secondary ACCESS Tour in Dinard, France, (I think between practice there will be quite a bit of sitting on the couch this weekend , with CATS in the prelim finals, and Solhiem Cup on) before heading to Pairs for the Lacoste Ladies Open the following week.

Hope your able to follow my progress, and ill keep you posted when I can.

Cheers, and good golfing!

Stace J

Well done in the last couple. I will be following via the LET site. I think the Cats may have our number in the final, but you never know, you cannot win it from the stands. Hoping for back to back.
    GO PIES.
